TROUBLE SETTING UP?
Quick steps to get WKTV working.
Work through these in order. Tap a step to open it.
1Check your username and passwordLogin details are case sensitive
Make sure you’re entering your WKTV username and password exactly as provided.
Case sensitive
Use the exact upper- and lowercase letters. “WKTV123” and “wktv123” are different logins.
2Internet providers can block IPTVT-Mobile, AT&T, Spectrum and others
Some internet providers, such as T-Mobile, AT&T, and Spectrum, can block IPTV services during setup or while streaming. This can stop you from logging in or keep channels from loading.
If you’re on one of these providers, work through steps 3–6 below.
3Use a new modem if you have an older modelOlder gray or black T-Mobile modems
Many customers using the older gray or black T-Mobile modem have setup issues. Upgrading to the new white T-Mobile modem usually resolves the problem.
T-Mobile Home Internet app settings
Open the T-Mobile Home Internet app (T Life).
Create separate networks: one 2.4 GHz and one 5.0 GHz.
Don’t use the default “blended” network. Connect your device to the separate 2.4 or 5.0 GHz network.
✕ Older gray or black modem✓ New white modem (recommended)
4Allow WKTV on your modem or routerOr turn off security filtering
Your internet provider’s security settings can block WKTV. Try one of the following:
Allow WKTV
In your modem or router settings, allow WKTV or disable content filtering for WKTV.
Turn off security settings
AT&T ActiveArmor: turn it off, or allow WKTV in the app.
Other provider security or content-filtering features.
5Use a VPN (if still blocked)When your provider keeps blocking setup
If setup is still blocked, try connecting through a VPN. A VPN can help when your internet provider is blocking the connection, so you can complete setup.
Recommended
Use a reliable VPN service during setup. You can turn it off after setup if you like.
6Use your phone’s hotspot to complete setupFinish setup on mobile data
Connect your streaming device to your phone’s mobile hotspot (not Wi-Fi).
Log in and complete the setup while on the hotspot.
After setup is complete, switch back to your regular Wi-Fi.
7Check WKTV playback settingsBuffering or freezing?
If you’re seeing buffering or freezing, adjust the buffer setting.
Open WKTV Settings.
Select Playback.
Set Buffer Size to Large.
✓
Setup complete!
WKTV should now be working on your regular Wi-Fi connection.
In the WKTV app, this message may appear when your subscription has expired or when a live-event channel is no longer active. The message alone does not confirm the cause.
Switch to a different regular live channel.
Check your subscription renewal date.
If your plan has expired, contact WKTV to renew.
If an active account still cannot play other channels, contact support.
02No channelsYour playlist is empty or out of date
If the app hasn’t been opened for a few days, the playlist may need a refresh. Confirm your subscription is active first.
Open WKTV and select Settings in the bottom-left corner.
Select Playlist.
Tap Refresh Playlist and allow the update to finish.
Return to Live TV and try a channel.
03EPG / TV guide missingRefresh the program schedule
Open WKTV Settings.
Select EPG.
Tap Update and allow the guide to finish loading.
Some custom channels do not have EPG.
Custom channels labeled “Hulu” or “HBO,” for example, may not display program listings. Missing guide data on those channels does not necessarily mean the stream is broken.
04Freezing or bufferingCheck your Wi-Fi connection
Make sure the streaming device is connected to the strongest stable Wi-Fi network available.
Move closer to your router, or use Ethernet if your device supports it.
Pause large downloads or other heavy internet use, then test again.
Restart your streaming device and router.
Try a different channel. If only one channel fails, tell support which one.
Also check your plan’s connection limit. Streaming on more devices than your plan allows can interrupt playback.
05Clear cache / dataLast step if problems continue
On Android / Fire TV devices, menu names may vary. Try clearing cache first; only clear data if the issue continues.
Open your device’s Settings.
Select Applications / Apps and find WKTV.
Select Clear Cache, reopen WKTV, and test again.
If needed, return to the same menu and select Clear Data / Clear Storage.
Open WKTV and sign back in.
Have your login details ready.
Clearing data removes saved app settings and signs you out. Make sure you have your server details, username, and password before continuing.
